Senior 2 Senior Celebrates a Heartwarming Holiday Harmony at Maisonville Retirement Home

Senior 2 Senior is incredibly grateful to reflect on the success of Holiday Harmony, which recently took place at Maisonville Retirement Home. What began as a new initiative quickly turned into a truly special experience filled with joy, connection, and meaningful moments shared between seniors and volunteers.

Holiday Harmony was created to bring warmth and companionship to seniors during the holiday season, and this first event beautifully fulfilled that vision. Through music, conversation, laughter, and shared stories, residents and volunteers formed genuine connections that made the day unforgettable. Seeing smiles, hearing laughter, and witnessing moments of togetherness reminded us just how powerful human connection can be.

We are beyond thankful to the residents of Maisonville for welcoming us so warmly, and to our dedicated volunteers whose time, energy, and kindness made this event possible. Your compassion and enthusiasm created an atmosphere where everyone felt seen, heard, and celebrated.

This event marks an important milestone for Senior 2 Senior, and it has only strengthened our commitment to supporting seniors through meaningful engagement. We look forward to continuing Holiday Harmony and bringing these moments of joy and connection to more retirement homes in the future.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special — it truly meant more than words can express.

Many Thanks

Senior 2 Senior Collaborates with Bags of Promise -  Valentine Card Making Event

In collaboration with Bags of Promise, Senior 2 Senior was grateful to be welcomed into Kenningston Retirement Home for a special Valentine’s evening. Thank you to the staff for opening your doors and to our incredible volunteers who gave their time so generously. The night was such a success that we’ve already been invited back — which speaks to how meaningful the evening was for everyone involved.

Beyond the crafts, the true impact was connection. Moments like these reduce social isolation and spark joy. Residents weren’t just participating in an activity — they were sharing memories, expressing creativity, and feeling seen. Watching smiles spread across the room reminded us that a simple gesture can foster belonging, dignity, and community — and that’s what makes this work so worthwhile.

We are also so grateful to every volunteer who gave their time and heart to make the evening special. Your kindness and presence truly made a difference.
